Cathlamet Downhill Corral

so i'm planning on heading out early sunday morning to catch the race, will anyone else be staying in portland and making the trek out in the morning? if so, we should carpool. shoot me a pm or email me at chip_wood at comcast dot net and we can work out the details, save some gas money.

If anyone is planning on registering on site, and is under 18, PLEASE get a copy of the waiver signed by a parent, otherwise we can't let you ride (insurance). This is standard stuff, you all know the drill. I'm copying it over here so you can print it out, but I don't know how clean it will look from the forum.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the CATHLAMET DOWNHILL CORRAL LONGBOARD FESTIVAL program, related events and activities, I, __________________________________ (name of participant), the undersigned acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
1) the risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,

2) I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARRISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,

3) I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If however I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,

4) I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personnel representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS CATHLAMET DOWNHILL CORRAL LONGBOARD FESTIVAL, CITY OF CATHLAMET, WAHKIAKUM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, their officers, officials, agents and / or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“Releasees”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OR THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.

I want to make sure this race runs smoothly so I won't be competing in the downhill. Probably not the push race either.... but I might wiggle a little bit.

And that gentlemen, would be why I didn't want to commit people who hadn't paid yet! I'm getting that little gut feeling that this weekend is going to be sick!

Is anyone going up to Cathlamet for race day that I can bum a ride off from portland, mt tabor area? Gas money will be distibuted as appropriate.

bah, i'm mad i missed this, but a lack of money for gas kept me stranded. how'd it go?

I'm pretty sure Robin won the push race, I can't remember the guy's name who won the slalom, Zak got second, and for downhill it was
