I met JP finally at The Mountain Shop last Saturday morning and he told me about this forum. Glad to see it, glad it's up, and glad to have met JP. Seems like a genuine guy and great resource for long boarding in Portland.

Re: PDXDOWNHILL.COM LIVES!!!
Thanks duanelr,
I really believe that the Portland downhill scene is really going to blow up this summer and I just want to have the opportunity to be a part of it all. There are lots of us out there riding hills on long boards we all just need to keep connecting and keep challenging each other to reach the next level. This website is definitely a major step in the right direction, a resource for everyone to connect. The most important part is that we are all having fun. Let us all represent Portland as best we can.

yeah, i just went there to grab a eastside drop. sadly, it was out of stock. but i was still in the buying mood, so i settled with the new landy dropwedge. its a good board, really. i am relived to see it back.
jp, did you ever get around to looking at the force trucks? i could use a local seller. you just gotta sweet talk kebbek.

the drop wedge is almost the same as the eastside drop. both are really good boards. i've wanted to try the drop wedge to see how the concave is.

Re: PDXDOWNHILL.COM LIVES!!!
the concave is nice. its has a flat spot in the center of about 4 inches, which is nice for kicking. the sides come up to some fairly sharp edges. this all translates to the board wanting to be manhandled.
thats just fine with me.
one quibble: i would like to see more material in the back. but whatever. its no biggie.
