Fuck yeah, glad to hear it. It should be very spectator-friendly in that aspect.

Re: McNARLEE OUTLAW!
Thanks everyone who came out and pushed their limits on McNarlee! I heard it was raining in Portland so I assumed that would keep quite a few people from coming out but we got 15 crazies willing to throw themselves down the thing. And somehow you all the opportunity to bail out and get their money back after the 3 practice runs, but only Eddie had to take me up on that after he slammed his noggin. We had a double-elimination bracket so if you lost once you still had the opportunity to fight your way through the losers bracket and take on the finalists in the upper bracket. Once we were getting down to the last heats the sheriff showed up and we had to leave the race unfinished. The top 4 in the upper bracket were
Billy
Eric
Robin
Casey
Only a few people had lost 2 races and gotten knocked out of the lower bracket so the top 8 still in it at that point were
Aidian
Kevin S
Danimal
Nick C
JP
David Mitchell
Ryan Sorenson
Dave Hendrickson
We had a little halfpipe session and my parents BBQd up some burgers, then after it cooled for for a bit the top 4 went back up to sort out who gets the money.
1st place
Billy Meiners I don't think he had anyone close to him a single heat! He grinded across the finish line and then got bucked!
2nd place
me, and I was the only one that didn't eat it!
3rd place
Robin, two podiums in 2 days!
4th place
Eric Hovey, him and Rob came charging in tight and slid off the road in the last corner.
Cash was split between the top 4, Billy got $100 and immediately donated $50 of it back to me for my recently resurfaced half-pipe, and that was even after I pulled a dirty move on him the day before at Gibson! Billy you are a true champion!
Thank yous to all the volunteers and my parents who spotted corners, yelled go, blocked traffic, shuttled riders filmed and everything else, it turned out better than I could have hoped for besides the sheriff. Also thanks to Judy and David for filming and giving me their tapes, and Matt for filming with my camera!
Eastside and The Board Room threw in a deck and some wheels but everyone we would have given it to had already taken off by the time we sorted things out so we're saving the shwag for the next occasion.
Thanks again everyone who came, I hope you all had a good time. Maybe in the future we will finish a race with a losers bracket. Make sure to post any pictures or video you got!

Re: McNARLEE OUTLAW!
thanks for putting on a great race casey! it's awesome to see people get together for an event like that.
the halfpipe session was gnar-ly. almost as gnarly as the race. somehow i knew i wouldn't be able to ride all day without eating shit....
maybe next year i'll make it down the hill without falling.

That was an awesome race you put together Casey. I really felt like it pushed me to new limits. I hope there is some way that we can make it work out in the future.

nice job sailor moon
You pulled together an awesome race, Casey. It was much fun to watch and MUCH fun skating the half-pipe.
Major style points go to Billy who didn't miss a beat donating half his prize money to the half-pipe fund.
Definitely classy.
And thanks to your folks, Casey, for putting up with all of us and even feeding everyone.
Good times!
