Local Companies Worth Supporting
I'm trying to make a somewhat complete list of companies from the Northwest. Good companies I mean, not Daddies, Nike and Exit Real World.
Eastside Longboards
Longboard Larry
Subsonic
The Board Room at the Mountain Shop
Insect
Does that kid (Trevor?) from Seattle still make boards, I think he was selling them as Totem?
For smaller skateboards
Cal Skate
Shrunken Head
Rebel Skates
Merde Skateboards
Bacon Skateboards
Cold War Skateboards
Jivaro Wheels
Novmbr Skateboarding
M&M Skateboards
Tribute Skateboards
I know I am forgetting some obvious stuff, help me out here.

Dopamine? Out of Spokane
THPRD - they maintain skate parks after all...
almost forgot the shop that just opened a year ago in Tigard, and now I can't remember it's name
While looking for it, I found this: http://home.att.net/~badskaters/sk-shop.html might see if there's anything there

Ah yeah, Sublimity for sure, Dopamine, hmm... I can't think of the shop in Tigard either, but definitely those guys. And Skate Legion! Woah there's a Board Room in Astoria too! I have to kick people out for skateboarding some places so I can't fully consider THPRD skateboard-friendly, ahahha.

What about the longboard store, in Bend? Or are they more 'box store' than you had in mind? They are big, but at least they are green: The Longboard Store will plant a tree with the sale of every complete longboard and include the Wise Owl Sticker.
Re: Local Companies Worth Supporting
I have no idea, I've never heard of the place or been there. Have you, would you vouch for them? I'm trying to figure out kind of a master list of places you should buy from, brands you should buy, that are local, or generally good. That pretty much would include anything as long as they're not a crappy chain, or Daddies.

Dokument skate shop
Put Dokument skate shop on the list. They are local Salem store, they do more shortboards than longboards but their longboard selection is growing. Down with daddies and Exit!

Trevor isn't making and Totem boards at the moment.
If your ever up in Seattle area checkout Motion Boardshop. Definitely have the best longboard section of any place around. Gravity Sports in Renton wa is also a rad shop. Oldest skateshop in the NW they claim.

Lab 33 is the name of the longboard store on main street in tigard, Chris something is the owners name.
As far as the longboard store in bend, I don't remember if we've bought anything from them, but they have a well put together web site (although slow to load) and complete inventory, plus the same free shipping Daddie's offers. I'll say I would have no reservations buying from them, and will let you know if and when we do.
