LArry has a blog!
LArry gave me some space to babble about all things longboarding.
Trust me when I say it is in your best interest to check it out.

I guess I have to post the info here...
The Historic Maryhill Loops Road first ever Freeride!
March 28 and 29, 2009
This will be a weekend of riding the most famous longboarding hill in the world. This event is open to the first 85 to 90 riders who sign up and pay the $105 (via paypal). If you cannot do paypal please contact me at senor_palmer@hotmail.com for other payment arrangements. The signup date will be January 4, 2009. Signup will be open until all the spots are full. Look for further details before the signup deadline.
This is not a race and there are no prizes, spectators or camping. Just a closed hill with hay bails, EMT's safety workers and shuttles. The first shuttle starts at 9am and goes to 5pm. There will be 6 man heats spaced about a minute apart. We will try and get as many runs as possible each day.
Leathers and a full face helmet are required.
There will be NO SPECTATORS!!!!! If you are planning on coming with friends, girlfriends, boyfriends or a parent and they want to get onto the property, they must be signed up in advance and they will be put to work as a driver or a course worker. There will be no one allowed on the property that is not on the list.
ANY UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY AND, IF NECESSARY, THEY WILL BE ESCORTED OFF THE PROPERTY BY THE LOCAL SHERRIFF AND CHARGED WITH TRESSAPSSING!
There is a need for about 14 to 20 coarse workers. THe course workers will not be paid but will be allowed time on the hill throughout the weekend and after hours.
A crew of 4 or five will be needed for about 4 hours of work on the Friday before to lay out the hay and on the Monday afterwards to clean up the hay. Again helpers will be the only people to ride the hill on those days.
The attendance is limited to insure the riders get the maxium amount of time on the hill (we expect between 10 and 15 runs a day) but still cover the large expense of renting the hill, EMT's and everything else it takes to put this event on. If you sign up and pay THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS! You may be offered a credit for a future event.
If you sign up as a voluniteer and do nto show up you will be blacklisted from all future Maryhill Ratz events. The idea is to keep this event small so the riders can get the most runs they can. Any course workers who sign up and do not show up put the whole event at risk. If you sign up please be serious.
Leathers and a full face helmet is required. If you are found to be riding ANYWHERE on the property without a helmet you may be asked to leave.
There is no smoking of anything on the property.
There will be no alochol consumption by participants in the event.
THe events organizers and the workers are GOD. Thier word is law. Give them grief and you may find yourself escorted off the property without a refund.
That goes for all the rules, you break em and you may find yourself being asked to leave and if someone does not want to leave the Sherriff will be called.
If the sherriff has to be called for any reason charges will be filed by the race organizers.
This event is open to all skill levels so these rules will be strickly enforced to insure the safety of all linvolved.
Cousre workers will be required to sign a waiver and those under 18 will have to have a waiver signed by thier parent or guardian.

The other one wasn't a free ride, it was invite-only. And it never happened too!

WWI was the first invitational event as will be WWII. 100% skateboarding.
THis event is the first freeride as it is open to the first 90 or so who sign up and pay. Hell, I am even going to allow buttboards and bikes!
Be sure to let me know if your Mom is coming, she needs to get on the list

Cool beans. On the LBL blog I'm assuming?
Should I wake up early? Or does anyone have a guess on how fast it's going to fill up?
