Need leather advice - yes or no?
I know I can buy new leathers for $220 or so, but I have an eye on a classified from Jersey for used for $110 including shipping. I've confirmed size and they will be too big for Addison, but not by a lot, and he's still growing like crazy. Because of that and because I think his first set of leathers will get the most wear, I'm inclined to go the $110 route. What do you guys think?

I'd definitely go for the cheap stuff if you know you're going to have to buy more in the future! I don't know how much riding Addison will be doing in the rain this winter but you might want to hold off to get some until the sun starts coming out again, he might outgrow them before he gets to wear them much.

This guy says he just outgrew these, and he's 6' & 145 lbs. So if Addison is 120 and about 5' 7 or 8", then I was more worried about them being too big don't you think? He says "the duct tape on the butt is just covering some weakened leather, no holes under there. there is a hole at the bottom of the acordian but it has been taped and should be fine. the tape on the front part of one of the legs is covering a tiny hole i made from dragging my knee through corners. although these have PLENTY of life left in them". Still think they are a good deal?

You know best how long it will take Addison to outgrow those, sounds like they're in great condition, even if there was one little hole that's still full-body protection besides one spot that's not hard to patch up. $110 sounds like a very good price.
