Your chance to be published...
This was in my email today:
A message to all members of Skateboarder's Journal Hello all... As most of you already know I am writing/editing a self-published book, the working title is "Lives on Board". I would like to invite you to submit a story. I'm looking for great memories from your skateboarding life, or how skateboarding has impacted or changed your life. Another topic could be how you balance skateboarding with family, work, school and other obligations. You could also write about why you started skating, why you continue to, or maybe even why you quit. Even a skate adventure, fiction or non-fiction are both welcomed. Perhaps there is someone who has influenced your skateboarding. Through your stories I am trying to tell the "everyman/woman" skateboarding life experience. There will be some "notables" from the skateboarding world included in the book, mainly people who I have some to know in my 30+ years of skating. If you have high resolution images (300 dpi) I would love to include them in the book. The deadline is January 30th, 2009. You can email your story/images to jack@theskateboardersjournal.com. Please drop me an email if you have any questions. All the best,Jack Visit Skateboarder's Journal at: http://skateboardersjournal.ning.com --
