Riding Gibson Empty Riding Gibson

Post  mitcheld Wed Jul 16, 2008 3:37 pm

For those of you that are planning on riding Gibson, checking it out, etc. Please respect the road, the area, and the residents in the area. As of now, they are stoked and support the race and riding happening. One of the orchards is going to let us use their parking lot and facility. However, some residents were still hesitant about safety and how the longboarders treat the area. DO NOT pee in anybody's yard or field, DO NOT throw rocks at cows, DO NOT disturb the area in any way, DO NOT leave garbage, and WEAR ALL OF YOUR SAFETY GEAR! I only say this because that has been an issue brought up to me by the residents. Also, The residents paid the county to get this road paved. They were tired of driving up a gravel road...so, thanks to them we have this awesome road. So respect them and always smile and wave hello. Thanks.

no worries there, i think most of us are pretty good with respecting the areas we ride :)
how good is the pavement? up in the air between riding my flywheels or buyin some new wheels, since i trashed my gumballs the other week. don't like riding the fly's on choppier pavement.

i just rode it with my 83's (78), and it was perfect. it was so hot though, i was practically slinging tar as i went over it. if its as hot as it is on 26th, then a harder duro might benefit from that.

really?

I don't see why skaters do that, we all hate it when people discriminate against and then people have to go and ruin it by acting childish and doing things like throwing rocks at cows.

everyone should just show respect to our riding spots ALL THE TIME.
