dropping bennetts

while I went off to college I got some surfrodz axle extensions (courtesy of the nice people over at surfrodz) for beta testing so I have been experimenting with the axles on my Bennett 4.3's. I put them on my dropkick and it seems that it turned out quite nicely, I will just lend a word of caution for anyone trying to do this and its that the board slides just looking at it. so what are your guys thoughts on this? I found that you need to watch the axles since they come loose after alot of heavy riding.

Have you tried using a thread locker(I.E. Loctite) on the threads to keep them from loosening up?

if thats the tape that you put on threads than no. I haven't been able to make it into town for about two weeks to pick up anything.

No, the tape is Teflon. It's for making threaded pipe connections water or gas tight. Loctite (or any brand liquid thread lock) is a liquid that you drop onto the threads. It sets up like a glue and keeps things from loosening up. Get the medium grade (Red). Hope that helps.

loctite makes thread tape too.

Yeah I use thread lock on my Radikal replaceable axle ends and they stay threaded on nice and tight. Give it a try.

That's a slick set up!

That looks awesome for a freeride setup. I wouldn't mind trying that out on my FSM.
